The Princess of Wales made a highly anticipated public appearance today at the Trooping the Colour ceremony in London. This marks her first official royal engagement this year, following her revelation of a cancer diagnosis in March.
Kate was first spotted arriving at Buckingham Palace ahead of the parade in a car with her husband, Prince William, and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
The annual Trooping the Colour celebrates the British monarch's birthday with a military ceremony, where soldiers from the Household Division march past the Sovereign at Horse Guards Parade.
The Princess of Wales was accompanied by her children in the Glass State Coach for the carriage procession down The Mall from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade.
Meanwhile, Prince William was on horseback alongside his uncle, The Duke of Edinburgh, and his aunt, Princess Anne, in their roles as Colonels.
Kate watched the presentation of the colour with her children from a balcony above Horse Guards Parade.
Following the ceremony, the Wales family were reunited on the balcony at Buckingham Palace for the traditional RAF fly-past.
Here is a broader view of the balcony, featuring the royal family members in attendance.
The Princess chose a white dress by Jenny Packham for today's King's birthday parade, adorned with a black trim and a delicate bow embellishment on the neckline.
The design echoes another Packham style that the Princess first wore at a Commonwealth reception in 2023. There is some speculation that it is the same dress (shown below), but with a different belt and an added bow.
A new monochrome sinamay hat by Philip Treacy perfectly complemented the dress. The headpiece is from the British milliner's S24 collection. ID by @GabiK_blogoKate on X.
Kate carried her black Mulberry Bayswater Suede Clutch, and on her feet were a pair of white Jimmy Choo 'Romy 85' Leather Pumps.
For accessories, the Princess kept it classic with pearl earrings, wearing her Cassandra Goad 'Cavolfiore' pair.
Kate also wore the Irish Guards Regimental Brooch pinned to her dress, acknowledging her role as the regiment's honorary colonel, on the occasion of their colour (flag) trooping today.
Catherine's appearance today marks a positive step forward in her health journey. I hope she continues to go from strength to strength, balancing her health and duties, and that we have the privilege of seeing more of the Princess in the future.

She initially showcased this bespoke style in green during a welcome ceremony in Boston in November 2022. The midi wool coat features a notched collar, inset waist with button opening, flap pockets, and tabs at the cuffs.
Another new yet familiar addition was Juliette Botterill’s 'Bow and Arrow' Percher Hat in teal blue (£600), a design previously worn by Kate in black.
The Princess carried her Emmy London 'Natasha' Clutch in Lake Blue.
On her feet were the Gianvito Rossi Block Heel Boots in Blue Suede.
Kate finished the look with Princess Diana's Cabochon Sapphire Drop Earrings.
