The Duchess of Cambridge had a day of engagements in London today to mark the publication of the book 'Hold Still' which she spearheaded alongside The National Portrait Gallery in her role as Patron.
The day started with the Duchess playing book fairy. She joined The Book Fairies - a global movement to share books for people to find, read and leave for someone else - to share copies of Hold Still around the UK.
Kate then visited the Royal London Hospital Whitechapel to meet staff and hear how the hospital uses art to benefit both patients and employees via its arts and health service, Vital Arts.
Her final stop was the National Portrait Gallery Archive where the final 100 Hold Still images have become part of the Gallery’s national Collection.
The Duchess was taken through other photographs from the Gallery’s Collection, which dates back to the 19th century — all documenting people’s experiences and key moments in the UK's social history.

SKIRT: NEW! Beige pleated midi skirt.
It has been suggested that the skirt may be the beige Zara pleated skirt with belt, however the hem seam does not appear to be a match. Nonetheless, Kate may have had the length altered which may be the reason for the difference.
SHOES: Ralph Lauren Celia RL Gold Tan Calfskin Pump (repeat). EARRINGS: Mappin & Webb Empress Drop Earrings (repeat).
Kensington Palace has introduced the first of a series of telephone calls that The Duchess of Cambridge held with participants from the Hold Still project.
‘Shielding Mila’ is the first of a series of telephone calls shared via The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's new YouTube channel.
The calls, which took place last autumn saw Catherine speak to a number of the 100 finalists who shared their experiences of life during the first COVID-19 lockdown in the UK by submitting an image to Hold Still.
In the clip, Kate is seen wearing the Whistles blouse she wore for her official engagement photos taken by celebrity photographer Mario Testino at St James's Palace, London, in November 2010.
The Whistles 'Kate' blouse (shown below) is a reissue of the shirt Kate wore for the engagement photo shoot.
Unfortunately a stock photo of the original blouse is not available. Both designs feature a frill detail at the centre front finished with an eyelash trim. Kate's blouse has a collar, button placket and sheer sleeves, whereas the reissued style features a grandad collar, a concealed button placket and solid sleeves. A better picture of the original blouse by Whistles can be seen on Pippa Middleton.
Kate offset the light romantic blouse with her navy Jigsaw High Waisted Sport Luxe Trousers.
The Duchess finished the look with the 'Silver Jubilee' pearl and diamond earrings on loan from Queen Elizabeth II.
Today is International Day of the Midwife, and The Duchess of Cambridge, royal patron of Nursing Now, spoke to Uganda’s pioneer midwife Harriet Nayiga.
Ms Nayiga is the founder and director of Midwife-led Community Transformation, a charity bridging the gap between midwives and communities in Uganda by focusing on adolescent sexual health. The charity has participated in Nursing Now’s Nightingale Challenge. You can read more about the interview via the Nursing Times.
The Duchess is seen wearing a cobalt blue Zara tailored double-breasted blazer (US$89.90) during the video call (identified by @Heaven_LeeM). The jewel toned jacket features a peaked lapel collar, front flap pockets and double-breasted metal button fastening at the front.
Kate accessorized with her gold Orelia Chain Huggie Hoop Earrings.
